Spring in the Salehurst Halt Garden
The spring flowers are beginning to appear everywhere you look; winter is retreating and we can all look forward to warmer days as the evenings get lighter and the sun appears earlier.
We are lucky enough to have a wonderful garden here at the Halt; we get lovely comments from people when they visit and have and some great reviews specifically mentioning our garden.
With both a covered terrace from which you may be fortunate enough to watch the sunset, to our lawned area for lazy summer afternoons, and views across to the woods and hills beyond, our outside space is a place to chill and relax.
For the past 17 years we have entrusted our garden to Owen who has looked after it so spectacularly. But this year we are changing, like the seasons, and have a new gardener taking over as Owen concentrates on other areas.
If you have been in to see us recently and either glimpsed outside or braved the elements you will have seen the subtle changes taking place. The fences have been redone, and there are alterations to the flower beds surrounding the bottom part of the lawn. There are new plants edging the terrace too, and we all excited to see how our new garden will develop as the weather becomes warmer.
We will keep you updated, and/or you can pop in and take a look for yourselves. It won’t be too long before we can all sit out with a refreshing sundowner and watch the day fade into the night with the glorious views from our beautiful garden.
