Robertsbridge Bonfire

The fireworks at Robertsbridge

Being a community led, family run pub, we are very much involved in the goings on here in Salehurst and in Robertsbridge, and this includes the famous Robertsbridge Bonfire celebrations.

Our Head Chef, Ogi, is hands-on with helping to create the effigy for Robertsbridge Bonfire, and our Front of House Queen, Rachel, takes part in the procession with her three children.

This year’s bonfire celebrations were as phenomenal as ever – huge thanks to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it such a fabulous, family event for the local and wider community. The procession had everyone smiling and moving their groove to the various drum groups, the effigy was incredible, and those fireworks – just wow!

We would also like to give a shout out to our tallest barman, Dave, who admirably held the fort at the Halt – sitting patiently whilst we all had a wonderful time in the village, until the fireworks had been spent and everyone headed back to the bar for ‘after show’ drinks.

With Bonfire night now behind us, we can start looking forward to Christmas parties – if you haven’t booked yet, do please let us know when you’re planning on joining us, as we’re filling up fast. If you haven’t seen our Festive Menu yet, you can find a copy here.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Salehurst Halt in the very near future.
