Sous-chef Position available at the Salehurst Halt.
Changes are afoot at the Halt – Harvey has been promoted to Head Chef – something he has thoroughly deserved having worked his way up from KP and learning on the job, we are honoured to have such a fine young man in charge of our humble kitchen.
Having Harvey as Head Chef means there is now room for a Sous Chef at the Salehurst Halt.

As the Sous-chef in our busy country pub kitchen, you will work with our Head Chef to develop, prepare and cook an ever-changing, seasonal menu, using fresh, and wherever possible, local ingredients.
You will need to be able to take guidance as well as work on your own initiative, and will be responsible for the kitchen when our Head Chef is absent.
As well as experience in this type of role a key ingredient is passion – passion for producing really flavoursome food that you are proud to see go out of the kitchen.
