Open Mic Night at the Halt

Dates for you diary.

Last night’s Open Mic Night was a roaring success. Thank you to Gez Gold for setting the scene and filling in the gaps – of which there weren’t too many. We had some really fabulous performers up ‘on stage’ and the terrace was filled with song and laughter as we were privileged once again to watch the sunset across the valley.

Bank Holiday: the advantage of having Easter late this year is that we’ve only had to wait a little while before having another Bank Holiday – Monday May 5th we are open; the bar between 12 – 6pm, and the kitchen will be serving food between 12 – 4pm.

Road Closure: Just a reminder that Church Lane here in Salehurst will be closed for the Soapbox Derby on Saturday 10th May. That is, if this weather holds. Find out more about this wacky event here.

Live Music: Not dictated by the British weather, we have live music on Saturday 10th May, in the evening. So if racing homemade carts is not your thing, join us a bit later in the day (the road will be open by the early evening) for a sing-song and a few drinks

Open Mic Night: it’s coming back! This event is proving to be so popular we are aiming to run it on the last Sunday of the month over the summer. If you’ve not experienced it we highly recommend that you come along. If you have the courage to perform that’s fantastic – and if not, join the audience and enjoy the show.

We have a few other things in the pipeline, fine tuning is going on behind the scenes, so watch this space for more news.

Whatever the occasion, be it an event, a quiet lunch, dinner with friends, a few drinks at the bar or enjoying our spectacular pub garden, we look forward to seeing you back at the Halt again soon.
