We get high praise for our food here at the Halt. Using local suppliers wherever possible and providing you with items you probably won’t find on other pub menus, all of our chefs are passionate about the food that they cook for you.
There are people who come to the Salehurst Halt specifically for our spectacular desserts. Recent feedback on our puddings cited the disappointment felt when the customer had eaten out in another establishment and ordered pudding, only to discover the sweet offerings were not homemade. That is not the case here.
With HOMEMADE options such as sticky toffee pudding, salted caramel torte and Biscoff torte (our vegan option) appearing regularly, alongside our HOMEMADE ice creams with flavours including Banoffee pie, Ginger and Biscoff, our puddings are in a league of their own.
And who do we have to thank for all these homemade, dreamy desserts? Our very own Claire.
We have been privileged to have had Claire in our kitchen team for 15 years now; she keeps coming up with beautiful puddings, new ideas for the delectation of your palates. Her recent Mars Bar Brownie could have had wings, it flew out of the kitchen so fast.

As always, we do recommend that you book in advance to ensure you get a table, and if we have a particular dessert on the menu that you are after when you next want to visit, we can always reserve one of those too.
