Do I need to book at table at the Salehurst Halt?
Salehurst is a little village located just off the major route between London and Hastings, the A21. There are several houses, a church, and a pub. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Salehurst hasn’t grown hugely over the years and as you would expect, our pub is proportional to its environment.
With a warm and cosy welcome in the winter, the log burner roaring and a friendly face behind the bar as you step inside, you will find the Halt to be compact. We have ten tables in the bar area, with a private dining room/function room above the bar. Our tables range from seating two up to larger parties.
In the summer we have our glorious gardens as an option for dinning, for taking drinks, or for booking for weddings, birthdays and other functions. With a terrace covered by an amazing grape vine, should the weather be kind you can eat al fresco.
Our food continues to get rave reviews online; we offer a menu with a variety of dishes and source our produce from local suppliers wherever possible. We win awards, we have beers, wines and non alcoholic alternatives.
We may be a smaller establishment than you may find elsewhere, but we are also immensely popular.
With a combination of an exciting menu, a wide range of drinks and wonderful team members welcoming you through the door, we do recommend that you book a table. This is especially important at weekends when the bar can get very busy. Sunday lunch is a sell-out all year round, and all of our events and special menu evenings get booked out within a matter of hours. If you want to come and join us here at the Salehurst Halt and wish to book a table, please give us a call on 01580 880 620, email us [email protected] or book on our website.
We very much look forward to seeing you here at the Halt.
