International Women’s Day, 2025
We celebrated International Women’s Day this year by breaking our record of meals served on a sunny Saturday in March.
Not all who work at the Salehurst Halt are women, but those we do have are absolutely fantastic at what they do.
From our cleaners, Heather and Jo, Alicja who makes the garden so beautiful; from our female KPs Seren and Freya, to our utterly incredible ‘pudding’ chef, Claire J (she does do more than just out-of-this-world desserts, but this is what she is renowned for); through to our front of house team, Claire H (who is definitely in line for a longevity award), our adopted Kiwi Debs, to everyone’s favourite Fran, the how-do-I-spell-that Lorelei; to our ‘Boss’ Rachel, and of course to Karen and Gail who were the driving force behind the vision for the Salehurst Halt in it’s current incarnation, and with the occasionally help from Bronwyn, Holly, Daisy and others – all of our ladies are an integral aspect of what makes the Halt so successful.
So in celebration of International Women’s Day this is a huge thank you to all of you Ladies for always going that extra mile.
