We love our boards – we use them to let you know all about the Halt.
As you approach the Salehurst Halt you’ll see our outside boards – be that the opening hours on the wall of the pub, the A board advising you which front door to use (we have a winter and a summer door), or a one off board letting you know there is a special event on.
Inside, our fabulous menu is written on the boards at the end of the bar closest to our kitchen. As we source as much of our produce from local suppliers, our menu can change mid-service. Using fresh ingredients means that once it’s sold out, it’s gone, so having the menu on the wall like this enables us to keep it updated ‘live’.
Above the bar we have our wine lists – chose from our gorgeous white or red wines, all carefully chosen to compliment our food options, or our very own rosé wines, from Off The Line Vineyard.
Then we have our reservation boards – when you book a table we will jot your name down on a board and pop it on your table so that when you arrive you can see exactly where you are sitting.
Above the fire there are the individual letter boards, spelling out our name (unless they have been meddled with by anagram fans).
On the bar you will see our dessert menu boards, the newly arrived cheese board board, and any special offers currently running.
And, finally, there is the events board – sitting at the end of the bar closest to the fireplace, here you will find news about exiting things happening at the Halt.
