There have been two official signs at the end of our road saying that Church Lane, towards the Robertsbridge end, will be closed from today, 16th March through to the 27th March 2026.
Usually we would have more information to impart on this – indeed, of the residents in Coronation Gardens to whom we have spoken, none have had anything popped through their letter box letting them know more about this, and we are not sure if this will definitely go ahead nor for what reason.
If the road is closed it will mean that you are unable to access us here at the Salehurst Halt directly from the A21 roundabout at Robertsbridge. But you CAN still get to us, albeit on the more scenic route.
Instead of turning into Salehurst from the Northbridge roundabout, you will need to come down Beech House Lane. Take the turning off the A21 at Silver Hill onto the Bodiam Road (signposted for Bodiam), then take the first left onto Beech House Lane. The Salehurst Halt is at the bottom of this beautiful lane.
It will be business as usual for the Halt whether the road is closed or not and we look forward to seeing you back here again very soon.
