What a splendid way to spend an evening in Robertsbridge. Cricket on the village green, sun shining, support from friends and family…
Monday night saw team ‘Off The Halt’ play their first match in the Cooper Cup. A team made up of people who work at both the Salehurst Halt and Off The Line Vineyard, with some family members and locals making up the numbers. First match was against the Ladies’ Team who were fearsome and really rather good…
But we managed to snatch a victory perhaps in part due to the vociferous support from the ‘stands’, fuelled as that was by some nice cool beers….

Special shout out to two of the Halt kitchen lads – Finlay and Rowan. Finlay was mightily unlucky to be bowled out, and Rowan is not yet aware of just how strong he is, ‘accidently’ scoring a couple of rather magnificent sixes….

We are back for our next match on Wednesday, 29th July then again on Monday 3rd August (is it really August already?) and would love it if you could come along and support us.
Thank you to all who have joined our team and to all who came and supported – we can’t think of many places we’d rather be than playing among all the other local teams in Robertsbridge in a village cricket tournament on a lovely summer’s evening.
