New Wine List

Salehurst Halt Wine List

Introducing some new, wonderful wines….

Whether you prefer red, white, rosé or sparkling, we have some wonderful wines for you.

We’ve kept some of your favourites, but have added some new wines which we hope you will enjoy as much as we do. Our House red is a Spanish Delincuente Garnacha, with fresh, fruity aromas of raspberry and floral tones; our House white, a Portuguese Vinho Verde – dry, fresh, fruity and with the slightest hint of a sparkle. Then we’ve got an Italian rosé, a Pinot Grigio, a delicately aromatic and crisp house blush. We still have our mini bottles of Prosecco if your fancy is for a sparkling wine by the glass.

Red Wines

Along with the house red, we have a Chilean Merlot, an Argentinian Malbec and a Pinot Noir, a Rioja and two offerings from Italy – Beaujolais and Chateau Curton la Perriere AOC.

White Wines

Nobody panic! We have kept our best selling New Zealand Sauvignon, Ned! Then there’s the Portuguese house wine, an Italian Pinot Grigio, a South African Chardonnay, two offerings from France – a Picpoul and a Viognier, and two English whites – the Wayfarer Pinot Gris and a beautiful Bacchus.

Rosé

We have a Portuguese rosé in addition to the Italian house Pinot, and two rosés from here in the UK – Dancing Dog and Hip Rosé, as well as a Cotes de Provence – definitely something for anyone who loves a rosé.

Sparkling Wine

Be it Prosecco by the glass, or a bottle to share, our two Italian Proseccos are both lovely. But we also have not one, not two, but THREE rather special English sparkling wines; the only problem is choosing which one out of the Balfour Leslie’s Reserve, The Chapel Down Vintage, or the Rathfinny Estate…. all utterly wonderful for that special occasion.

Still not sure which wine you’d like? Never fear – we ran a staff training session here in the Halt for our front of house team to ensure we could tell you about all the wines we have on offer. Yep, that’s right. we sampled pretty much every wine, in the name of education and learning. We know – it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it….

Cheers from all of us.
