Harvey has been working diligently on your behalf to bring you a romantic menu for Valentine’s Day.

It may be several weeks away, but whenever we give you a special menu, we get booked out almost quicker than Fran can write the bookings down in the book – so please take a look at the LOVELY choices you can have at the Salehurst Halt on the 14th February – the image shows the menu in pictorial view and we have then added the text below for those who struggle with website images.

Valentines Day At The Salehurst Halt 2024

Salehurst Halt, Robertsbridge, Valentine’s Menu

A glass of English sparkling wine per person upon arrival:

Starters:

• Crab Cakes – served with lime mayonnaise and watercress (GF)
• Chorizo and Manchego Croquetas, with parmesan 
• Ceviche of Sea Bass, avocado mousse and corn succotash (GF)
• Wild Mushroom Pâté, pickled shallot and toasted ciabatta (VG)
• Stilton/3 Cheese Beignets, Port and redcurrant jam, and watercress (V)

Main Courses:

• Brown Butter Scallops, champagne risotto and pickled mussels (GF)
• Pan Seared Duck Breast, potato terrine, confit hispi and squash purée (GF)
• Curried Lamb Shank, sag aloo and cachumber (GF)
• Crispy Mushroom Kiev, chilli roasted cauliflower and watercress (VG)
• Surf ‘n’ Turf, seared Bavette, garlic and lemon prawns, roasted cauliflower and dauphinoise (GF)

Dessert:

• Chocolate Pecan Fondants
• Vanilla Pavlova with Pineapple and Passionfruit Compote
• Banoffee Brulée (VG)
• Tiramisu with Honeycomb Crunch
• Apple Crumble Cheesecake

To include homemade chocolate truffles.
